Big things are happening and we’re excited to finally share a sneak peek with you!
The Biz Foundry is expanding, and our next stop is a town we already know and love: Crossville, Tennessee.
We’re proud to announce Workbase: a brand-new coworking and office rental space designed to support entrepreneurs, remote workers, and small business owners right here in Crossville.
Why Crossville?
Crossville is one of the 14 counties The Biz Foundry proudly serves. And now, we’re planting real roots here.
We found a location that’s full of potential, inspiration, and history. Nestled on 18 acres of rolling greenery, the future home of Workbase is a beautifully restored building on the old Cumberland Mountain School campus. It’s peaceful, quiet, and ready for folks who need a place to work that isn’t their kitchen table.
What is Workbase?
We like to think of Workbase as more than just a place to plug in your laptop. It’s a space built with purpose. A calm, welcoming environment where you can focus, meet, create, and grow your business.
Here’s what to expect when we open in later this year:
- Ten Private Offices (10×12 feet): Available for $449/month — a professional solution for those ready to move beyond working from home
- Conference Room: A small meeting space for client sessions, brainstorming, and team check-ins
- Coworking + Hot Desk Space: Whether you need a desk for the day or a regular spot to work, we’ve got you
- Event Space Access: Members get discounted access to an on-site venue for workshops, gatherings, or presentations
- Access to Other Locations: As a Workbase member, you’ll be plugged into The Biz Foundry network across the Upper Cumberland
And the setting? Sunlight, trees, and quiet paths to walk when you need a break from the screen.
A Space with Deep Roots
Workbase will live inside Susie Gray Hall, one of five historic buildings still standing from the Cumberland Mountain School. This school, founded in 1921 by Reverend Robert Hershey, gave local students a chance at education — many of whom worked the land to help support the school.
That heart — of work, learning, and community — is exactly what we hope to honor as Workbase enters its next chapter.
Ready to Work Here?
We’re now accepting deposits for private offices. Spots are limited, so if you’re ready for a workspace that actually works for you, now’s the time to jump in.
Final Thought
We’re not just opening a building. We’re creating a place where people with big dreams — and even bigger grit — can get the space and support they need to grow.
Because we believe Crossville is full of future business owners, creators, and leaders.
And Workbase is here for them.
Let’s build something great together.
